Duration: 1 year with extension option
Criteria :
- To provide the IMO Model Training Course on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-Operation (OPRC) Level 1 is an awareness training of site assessment and set-up, shoreline types, environmental issues, response strategies, equipment and site waste management for Operation and Field Responder.
- Course of the Programme should include below topics:
- Fate and effects of marine oil spills
- Oil weathering exercise
- Shoreline environmental considerations
- Environmental choices exercise
- Contingency planning
- Monitor and evaluate
- Quantification exercise
- Equipment overview and tour of Tier 3 stockpile
- Containment and protection
- Booming strategies
- Recovery devices
- Hazards to responders
- 3-stage shoreline clean-up assessment and site set-up
- Briefings and communications
- Log keeping
- Waste management
- Waste disposal
- Waste hierarchy
- Site survey
- Practical deployment exercise
- The training course shall require at least 2 IMO registered trainers for one session
- The training should cover for a minimum but not limited to 20 participants.
- The training course is required by Q4 2022 for one session only.
