Responsibilities:
- Plans, follows-up, oversees and controls the execution of fiscal and administration functions relating to project execution within the Project Management Team (PMT). Must be able to assess, evaluate and steward the closing and reporting on technical predicaments, issues and risks.
- Ensures the project specific strategies and work scope from engineering design through to start-up of the entire project are being implemented and results meet and/or consistent with the key performance indicators. Knowledge in the established and common codes and standards is essential.
- Keeps up to date and coordinates the functional roles of health, safety, environment protection, quality and engineering associated with project implementation. Receives and disseminates technical reports and information to the relevant members in the PMT.
- Interfaces and coordinates with the PMT’s managers, engineers, planner, coordinators on project progress reporting, action items and technical issues. Prepare project reports for distribution to all levels
- Interface and liaison with contractors, subcontractors, Company’s offices on issues that affect the project implementation. Compile and keep current significant issues and comprehensive interface register of these issues.
- Participates in internal and external management and project meetings, review and disseminates minutes of meetings and information pertaining to the issue discussed.
- Stand-in for managers and lead team members while called for.
- At least a tertiary degree in engineering from a reputable university, preferably engineering discipline in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical.
- At least 20 years of total experience of which 15 years must be directly related with the engineering design, fabrication, installation and hook-up & commissioning of upstream offshore oil and gas production and processing facilities. Experience with brownfield engineering and construction is an advantage
- A minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in the upstream offshore oil and gas sector of which 5 years must be in the position of Sr Project Engineer or equivalent in at least 2 multi millions USD EPCIC projects. Experience in the design, fabrication and construction of subsea production system is an advantage.
- Basic understanding and/or working experience in all engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and instrumentation, process, structural, piping, subsea and pipeline
- Strong drive, motivated, good personal, oral and written communication skills are essential. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Be able to chair internal and external meetings
