Requirements:-
- 10 years experience in offshore O&G fields as an Electrical Technician.
- required to be attested and certified as Authorised Electrical Person under the competency requirements of the Electrical Safety rules.
- Conduct Activity Risk Assessments using ARAT tool.
- Raise Isolation Certificates and Permit to Work requests.
- Conduct toolbox talks within discipline team.
- Carry out basic maintenance and servicing work on electrical equipment.
- Rectify punch list items.
- Compile all check sheet documentation, check sheets results and identify punch list items as appropriate.
- ATEX/Compex Certification for inspection of electrical equipment in hazardous areas will be an advantage.
- Experience of testing HV equipment will be and advantage.
- Perform all Electrical equipment and system inspection and pre-commissioning activities identified on pre-commissioning check sheets
- Perform inspections and electrical tests on electrical equipment prior to energisation.
- Carry out megger, ducter and hi-pot tests on electrical equipment and cables.
- Monitor motor test runs and record results.
- Carry out fault finding diagnostics on control panels etc.
- Assist specialist vendors on the commissioning Turbine Generators and Switchgear etc.
- Assist the Telecomms engineer as required.
